SEZ America Promotes Jim Mello to Vice President of Operations
PHOENIX, Arizona--November 2, 2000--SEZ America has promoted Jim Mello to vice president of operations. SEZ America is the U.S. operation of the SEZ Group (SWX: SEZN). Mello will manage SEZ America's technical operations including sales, field service and applications support for SEZ's Spin-Processing systems, as well as overseeing the company's advanced process developments within its research and development center.
With a diversified background in both front-end and back-end semiconductor manufacturing, Mello will focus on managing the company's growth and resource development. Additionally, he will play a key role in direct communications with the SEZ Group to execute the company's global initiatives in the U.S. "Throughout Jim's tenure with SEZ America, he has consistently demonstrated the strong decision making and communications skills demanded by this position," explained Susan Jones, COO of SEZ America. "Jim has been a successful project manager on several strategic projects that have increased our customer base significantly. He is a creative and forward-looking manager who has played a key role in bringing about our current growth and preparing the company for the future."
Mello has been with SEZ America since 1996 and most recently served as the director of sales and technical support. Mello has also held the positions of field support manager and process/application manager for SEZ. Mello has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, having spent eight years with Motorola Semiconductor's Components Group prior to joining SEZ.
Mello received a B.S. in microelectronic engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and holds a M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
