Susan Jones Named Chief Operating Officer of SEZ America
The SEZ Group (SWX: SEZN) has appointed Susan Jones to executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of SEZ America, its U.S. operation. Jones has also been named a corporate officer for the SEZ Group.
"Susan has an excellent understanding of the semiconductor equipment industry and the vision to move SEZ America to the next level," explained Herwig Petschnig, COO of the SEZ Group. "The SEZ Group is facing a number of exciting opportunities with the industry's transition to 300 mm wafer sizes. Susan's skills and understanding of the global nature of our company make her the ideal choice to drive our business in the U.S."
Jones has served as SEZ America's vice president of finance and chief financial officer for the past three years. During Jones' tenure with the company it has experienced tremendous growth in sales and personnel and her previous role with SEZ America will be a major asset to the company as it continues to grow. Jones succeeds Wolfgang Krammer, who recently resigned to accept a position outside of the semiconductor industry.
"Susan's previous position as CFO gives her an excellent understanding of the company's financial side," said Don Baumann, president of SEZ America. "She will bring considerable insight about the business to the role of COO, which is a considerable asset for SEZ America to have."
Previously, Jones held management positions with Berwick Bay Oil Company, Seacor Marine, Inc, and D. Skotty & Associates. Jones received a B.S. in business administration from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
